The Place
Nestled in the heart of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range,
9,000 feet up on the slopes of majestic Mount Horn
(elevation 13,450 feet), is Horn Creek Ranch. Located a few
miles outside of Westcliffe and about an hour southwest of
Pueblo, Colorado, this beautiful mountain resort is host to
a multitude of faith-based groups, families and organizations.

We like to call it home.

The Purpose
Best8Days is a Christ-centered Colorado retreat for college-age
students.Young people from all over the country gather in one
place during the month of May for the Best8Days of their lives.

People are changed at Best8Days, that's why we make
the trip. Over the past 39 years, hundreds have come to know
the Savior and others have recommitted their lives here on this
mountain. That's what it's all about: a place for you to be with Him.

The Plan
A Best8Days caravan will begin in Martinsville, Indiana
early Thursday morning and travel to Wichita, KS and then
on to Westcliffe, Colorado. If you're anywhere near this route,
join the caravan... it's a great way to get to know people
before the week even starts!

Once we arrive, you will receive your cabin assignment and
get acquainted with the ranch and all it has to offer. You can
enjoy sightseeing, mountain climbing, a day long road trip,
horseback riding, prayer times, singing, swimming (and the
water slide), the hot tub, scripture studying, an outdoor
barbecue, a mountain side cookout breakfast, new friends,
ping-pong, wall climbing, a bonfire prayer session, lakeside
communion, white water rafting, a talent show, an awards party,
candlelight talks, and so much more.

The end of May in Colorado is very pleasant, mostly T-shirt
weather, but it can get cold. Take some warm clothing!
There will be a dress-up banquet on Thursday. The rest of the
week will be spent in your grubbies. You might want to have
your swimsuit for the pool and hot tub.

Don't forget your Bible, camera and plenty of pens and paper.
All bed linens, towels and washclothes are furnished by
the ranch, but be sure to bring your own toiletries. There are
no laundry facilities at the ranch; however, a mid-week laundry
trip will be made to Westcliffe for emergencies. Baggage space
is precious! Please limit yourself to one suitcase and one small
toiletries case.

This trip will change you. That is our prayer.

The Cost
The basic charge for your time at the ranch will
be $450.00, which pays for your lodging and your
food (except meals while you travel to and from the
ranch and one meal in the middle of the week) and
almost all of your activities.

Match that if you can! A $100 non-refundable
deposit is required by February 1, 2008 to secure
your registration.
