The Place
Nestled in the heart of the Sangre de Cristo Mountain Range,
9,000 feet up on the slopes of majestic Spread Eagle Peak
(elevation 13,423 feet), is Hermit Basin Conference Center.          
Located a few miles outside of Westcliffe and about an hour
southwest of Pueblo,Colorado, this beautiful mountain resort is
host to a multitude of faith-based groups, families and organizations.    
We like to call it home.

The Purpose
Best8Days is a Christ-centered non-denominational Colorado
retreat for single college-age students. Young people from
all over the country gather in one place during the month of
May for the “Best8Days” of their lives.

Best8Days has been a pivotal, life-changing experience for
students for over 39 years. Hundreds of young adults have
come to know the Savior for the first time and thousands
have been impacted to make a deeper commitment through
the Best8Days ministry. That's what it's all about: a place
for you to be with Him.

The Plan
A Best8Days road trip begins in Martinsville, Indiana through
Wichita, Kansas and then on to Westcliffe, Colorado. If you're
anywhere near this route, join the road trip... it's a great way
to get to know people before the week even starts!

Once we arrive, you will register and receive your room assignment.
Check out the place! Throughout the week, there will be opportunities
for sight-seeing, mountain climbing, white water rafting, horseback
riding, prayer, small groups, lakeside communion, late night talks
and so much more! You will meet the most incredible people and
make friends for life.
                                                           
The end of May in Colorado is very pleasant, mostly T-shirt weather,
but it can get cold – like snow. Take some warm clothing. There will
be a dress-up banquet on Thursday. You might want to have your
swimsuit for the pool and hot tub. Don't forget your bible, journal
and camera! All bed linens, towels and washcloths are furnished by
the lodge but be sure to bring your own toiletries. Baggage space
is precious! Please limit yourself to one suitcase and one small
toiletries case.

The Cost

We have been able to lower our fee this year to $395! This includes
your lodging and food at the Conference Center. You will need money
for lunch out on the sight seeing day and meals on the road trip.
